Well… as Burns said, “The best-laid schemes o’ mice an’ men gang aft agley,” and boy, Craven’s schemes for this site gang as aft agley as schemes can gang. Thanks to presidential elections, unemployment and emotional ennui, Craven has been uh, less than diligent in keeping things going here.

But thanks to some new developments, I am hoping to get the proverbial ball rolling again… starting with an upcoming post regarding the competition which existed between hot rod designers Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and George Barris. Also coming soon: A report on the year Craven spent reading nothing but Nero Wolfe novels, and how a person can experience withdrawal from a fictitious address on West 35th Street.

Also, be advised Craven is now tweeting as @CravenLovelace. Follow me on Twitter for previews of NOTES, KAFM’s daily cultural history of popular music and the Mutant Pop Obituaries (which Craven presents every Friday morning, also on KAFM), as well as pointers to interesting pop culture sites and stories.

Thanks to those of you who keep checking back. I’ll try to make it more worth your while during the next few months.

    Craven,
You are amazing. You possess a depth and breadth of knowledge combined with a quirky sense of humor that is simply delightful! Thank you.
